Time of Release: 5:00 P.M.
Firefighter Dan Brees is currently listed in critical condition with burns and an inhalation injury, but he is responsive.
Firefighter/EMT Chase Frost is currently listed in critical, but fair condition and is sedated for comfort.
Both firefighters have been encouraged by and responsive to visitors. However, due to the increase in visitor traffic the CCMC Burn Unit has asked that visitors be restricted to family and PFC personnel who are pre-approved for visitation.
A number of concerned citizens have expressed an interest in making donations to the fire company to assist with Chase and Dan’s needs as well as those of the company. Anyone interested in making a donation can mail a check to the Company at 107 W. Roland Rd, Parkside, PA 19015. Checks can be made out to Parkside Fire Company with Frost/Brees in the note section.
The four families displaced by the fire are being assisted by the Borough of Parkside. All inquires as to their status should be directed to Tom Dietman through Borough Hall at 610-876-3659.
The Officers and Members of the Parkside Fire Company would like extend our many thanks for the massive outpouring of support and assistance we have received from the Borough of Parkside, surrounding communities and our brother and sisters of the Fire Service. Your support, positive thoughts and prayers have made this incident that much easier to endure.
