This is pretty funny. I have thought before about TV but more as a cameraman than a reporter, I am a news junkie as it is. Artist, well I dabble a bit in drawing and love photography. Politician, nah I don't kiss but very well. LOL!

Save The Dog!

Duane Dog Chapman lost his fight against extradition to Mexico. He could face up to 4 years in a Mexican jail, however his attorney feels it will most likely be a fine. I am not sure this is a good idea to allow our citizens to be extradited to a country such as Mexico, especially since what he did was bring a rich serial rapist to justice in the US. Something US authorities were unable to do.

Happy Valentines Day. Hope everyone has a great day!

To quote Kenny Chesney, "God I hate the snow, they even cancelled the show. Makes me long for where I really want to be"

I just finished using the blower on our drive and parking area. I hate it! I had Buffett & Chesney jamming on the headphones though. It's hard to believe that this time last year it was almost the same thing, the snow came on the 12th that year though and messed up our travel plans for our Trip to the islands w/ Capt Mark. Last valentines we spent having a dinner and watching a beautiful sunset @ Caneel Bay St John USVI, which makes the line from the Kenny Chesney song that much more perfect for today because the next verse goes, "I wish I was there tonite, on Jost Van Dyke, sipping on some Foxy's firewater rum." Jost Van Dyke & Foxy's was our destination the following day.

Prayers Needed @ Badgers Forward

Badger 6 @ Badgers Forward lost three of his men during cobat operations on Thursday. Keep him and his soldiers in your thoughts and prayers.

SRA Ronald Muniz Someone You Should Know

Last summer while pumping gas at a convienence store, SRA Muniz saw a vehicle drift from the pumps into a grassy area near the store. He quickly ran over to see what the problem was. He found a woman slumped in her vehicle and turning blue. Muniz's training as a firefighter, and Red Cross CPR instructor took over. Muniz performed CPR w/out any protective measures. After a couple rounds of compressions the woman started breathing on her own and was transferred by paramedics to the hospital.

For his heroic actions SRA Muniz was awared the Delaware Conspicuous Service Cross this past weekend. I am proud to serve in the same unit as SRA Muniz.

God Speed Brothers

This past couple of weeks have been difficult for the fire service in this country and in Canada. I pray that God comforts my brothers during this difficult time.

January ended horribly for the members of the Ghent Area Volunteer FD in West Virginia, a call at 10:43am on the 30th reporting a propane gas leak at a general store and gas station turned deadly at 10:55 as the first due engine arrived on the scene. As they entered the parking lot a huge explosion rocked the store and threw the engine like it was a toy. FF Frederick Allen Burroughs & FF/EMT Craig Lawrence Dorsey were killed instantly along with two men who were working on the leaking propane tank.

Sunday Feb 4th brought tragedy to the small town of Washington Twp in western PA. A roof collapse at a house fire trapped 2 firefighters inside the structure. Killed in the collapse was FF Jeremy Charles LaBella, FF George McMillen was injured but survived the collapse.

On this same day, tragedy struck in Winnipeg Canada, 4 firefighters were seriously injured in what officials suspect was a flashover while fighting a fire in a dwelling. Two of the 4 died the following day from their injuries.

Yesterday brought tragedy to Detroit MI fire department when Engine 17 was struck by a civilian vehicle while enroute to an alarm. FF Joe Torkos who was operating the engine at the time of the crash was killed along with one person in the civilian vehicle.

Rest Easy brothers.

Hero's & Losers

Today we will show some of the ordinary hero's and extraordinary losers!

1st we have two Muslims who are British Soldiers who after learning that they were the subject of a plot by Scumbag Tango's to kidnap, torture & behead them in the same manor as they have done w/ with others captured in Iraq they volunteered to act as bait to help the cops catch the tangos! These men have a huge set on them and are an excellent example of the fine troops in the UK. More info is Here

On the Loser front we have the typical moronic peace protestors who instead of protesting the people responsible for sending the troops into harms way they instead not only protest the troops themselves but are vicious in their comments and cat calls to them. These folks are truely losers. Here's a link to the video over on Semper Gratus

Of course in life often times the hero's out number the losers by a large margin which is why we are such a great country.

Here is a copy of a letter to the N Y Times concerning it's publishing a photo of a mortally wounded US Soldier. This letter is from Lieutenant General Raymond T. Odierno, commander of Multinational Corps-Iraq. I hope that the General will allow the use of the signed agreement so the family can pursue legal action against the NYT if they choose. This of course is just another example of the "above the law" mentality of the sensationalist driven MSM.

Here is a story from Michael Yon of a true hero and Martyr in Iraq. Apparently a loser Tango dressed as a woman and strapped on a bomb vest complete with ball bearings. His plot was to enter a Mosgue while people were engaged in prayer Fortunatly an ordinary villager saw thru the Tango's disguise and though he had no weapon not even a large rock or stick so he ran to the scumbag and grabbed him in a bear hug stopping him in his tracks. The tango chose to detonate his vest at this time killing the man who stopped him. A true martyr this man gave his own life to save hundreds by forcing the detonation in an empty ally instead of in the mosque.

OK. If you are still reading I'm surprised, I saved the best loser for last. This idiot must be the worst burglar in the world. Check out the video Here. He breaks in thru the roof, falls onto the shelves, then can't get out! He ends up locked up by the cops!

Lt Michael Murphy American Hero

When George Orwell wrote of rough men who stand ready to visit violence on those who would do us harm, these are the folks he was thinking of.
Lt Murphy was a US Navy Seal near Asadabad,Afghanistan back in June 28th of 05. He and the other 3 members of his Recon team were trailing a high ranking scum bag leader when they were ambushed by a larger and better armed force of Tangos. In the ensuing firefight all but one member of the recon team was killed. LT Murphy died saving his men that day. Read the whole story below and be sure and follow the links.

LT Mike Murphy, rest easy brother, til we meet on fiddlers green one day.

Mr & Mrs Murphy You raised one hell of a man there.

Pop's (Father of "The One"), you sir raised two amazing warriors.

Here's the story

Another Overnite Weekend

I don't know what I do this but it's better to work Midnites Fri & Sat nites close to home than to work 7a to 3p Sat & Sun at a crappy construction site farther away. Guess I might even start to get used to working overnite.

Other things have come to my attention lately

1. My uncle racked up over $790 in the fines in the previous post. He has led an interesting life.

2. Check out This out. A local bank has branches in almost everystore of a local supermarket, plus has stand alone branches as well. The stand alone ones have an interlocking door system, the outer door will not open if the inner door is open and vice versa. So when someone robs the place they just lock them in between the doors and trip the alarm. Well that's what happened to this guy!

3. This is a really crappy way to go.

So, that should be some good reading for now, as always check out two of my favorite blogs. Army Wife Toddler Mom & Blackfive
