Delivery Driver Ambushed, Murdered Police Hunting for Killer
By Denise James
WEST PHILADELPHIA - June 1, 2006 - A man trying to earn extra cash as a pizza deliveryman was gunned down in West Philadelphia overnight.

Police are now looking for a killer. The victim died when family took him off life support system Thursday afternoon. He was a father, a musician and an Iraq war veteran.
"I'm going down there now to pay my last respects to my brother."
Anthony Good joined relatives at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania to say goodbye to his brother, Jermaine Frazier before removing the gunshot victim from a life support system.
Anthony Good/Gunshot Victim's Brother: "Something like this shouldn't have happened to him. Not to a nicer person. It was just senseless."
The 29-year-old father of a newborn was shot in the head on North Wannamaker Street in West Philadelphia last night, while delivering food for a pizza shop.
Victoria Zimmerman/West Philadelphia: "We was in the house watching TV and we heard some gunshots, 2 or 3 gunshots."
The shooter fled and neighbors ran outside to found Frazier bleeding on the ground.
Kenon Hopewell/West Philadelphia: "He was gasping for air. Everybody was trying to get him help. When cops came, threw in paddy wagon and took to hospital."
Police believe the motive was robbery. And that someone called in an order for a Wannamaker Street address, then ambushed Frazier when he arrived. The pizza shop owner, who is afraid to be seen on television, says Frazier worked occasionally to help her and supplement his income. She is disgusted by the tragedy.
"You think people kill people for $5.00 for ten dollars people."
Pizza delivery was Frazier's 3rd job. His brother tells Action News relatives urged the hard working first time father to quit because of the potential danger and thought he had.
"He said he was goine give it up. So we figured he did and we didn't know. But like I said he's so warm hearted, he told the people, 'If you call or ever need me for anything I'm always out there for you.'"
Jermaine Frazier died this afternoon when removed from life support. As police search for the suspect, his family is hopeful anyone who saw anything finds it in their heart to report it to police.
